Adult diagnostic hearing assessment
Adult diagnostic hearing assessment
For each adult hearing assessment, we allow up to 90 minutes, to ensure we have time to perform a comprehensive case history and examination of the ear. We will also check the status of the middle ear, speech discrimination abilities in both quiet and noise, and a diagnostic evaluation of the hearing ability. If required, we will continue on to discussing hearing solution options. The Audiology Place is a completely independent and local practice that does not have ties to any specific hearing aid manufacturer/brand. This ensures that any advise and option given, is patient-centred and individual to the specific person’s best interests.
Results
Once the hearing test is complete, your audiologist will present you with a thorough explanation of your test results, with plenty time for you to ask questions and gain a full understanding of your hearing loss and how it relates to the problems you are experiencing. You can take a copy of your test results home with you on the day, and a full and detailed report can be sent to your GP or specialist.
